The Bonza Burger

INGREDIENTS

  • potato bun
  • lettuce
  • tomato
  • streaky bacon
  • American cheese
  • onion
  • gherkin
  • lemon
  • Sriracha sauce
  • mayonnaise

METHOD

  1. Finely slice the tomato and onion.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp of oil on hot plate. Once hot, add streaky bacon and cook for 1-2 minutes per side or until crispy.
  3. Place mayonnaise and a dash of Sriracha sauce in a dish. Add a small squeeze to the sauce for a bit of tang and mix to combine.
  4. Cook patties according to the instructions on the pack.
  5. With 2 minutes of cook time left on the patties, place a slice of cheese on top to melt.
  6. To assemble the burger, slather the Sriracha mayo on the bottom bun and then place your patty on top followed by the gherkins, onion, streaky bacon, tomato, lettuce and the top bun.

Chef's Tip: Finish the patties off on a hot plate/fry pan to get a caramelised finish.
